Behind the Bottle 

By the time we realise our drinking is problematic, it can have become and entrenched habit, often forming over decades. We can feel shame about our behaviour and fear about seeking help and embarking on the journey of alcohol-free living. This diagram below shows the many reasons why we might be using the Nation's favourite drug as a  (faulty) way of soothing, stress relief and for socialising. So- no shame, no blame... When we can identify the area of challenged we have experienced and may be experiencing now and build a toolkit of ways to calm, process our feelings, unwind and connect we don't need alcohol and all it's negative effects on our mental health, nervous systems, hormonal system and in our lives.
